Trail's Family Restaurant Named Restaurant of the Year

Trail's Family Restaurant has been awarded the National TA/Petro Franchise Restaurant of the Year, as well as the National TA/Petro Franchise Restaurant Top Sales of the Year.

The restaurant was also a top finisher for Franchise Marketing of the Year.  It placed in the top four nominations.

Trail's Family Restuarant has been featured on Good Morning America, Nightline News, USA Today, etc.

There will be a special presentation on Friday, November 19, 2010 at 2 p.m. in the Trail's Family Restaurant Banquet Room to celebrate.

Winery Ground Breaking

A new winery in rural Mower County is expected to be the one of the largest in southeast Minnesota.  Four Daughters Vineyard and Winery broke ground today on a new construction project.  The project includes a building featuring a production area, a brand new tasting room, restaurant and event space that encompasses over 9000 sq. ft.

Eagle Migration Celebration to Take Flight

An annual event that celebrates the wonder of our national symbol is about to lift off.

The National Eagle Center's Eagle Migration Celebration takes place over three consecutive weekends in November: Nov. 6-7, Nov. 13-14, and Nov. 20-21.  Artists, musicians, speakers, and eagles highlight the series of events that focus on the annual migration of eagles to their winter feeding habitats.  Click here for a full list of events.

This year, the National Eagle Center and ABC 6 News are holding a special trip.  The "Ribs on the River" features a rib dinner for two at the Pioneer Club, admission to the National Eagle Center, and bus transportation to and from the event on Saturday, November 6 on Rochester City Lines.  Click here to register to win tickets.

United Way Raising Money for Flood Relief

People throughout Southeast Minnesota are still recovering from damage caused by September's floods.  This week, you can help the United Way raise money needed to help people rebuilding their lives.

The United Way of Olmsted County is hosting "Live United. We Got You, Minnesota", a fundraiser for the group's Long-Term Recovery Fund.  It takes place at 7:00-11:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 19 at the Wicked Moose Bar & Grill, 1201 Eastgate Drive SE in Rochester.

A good-will donation will be collected at the door.
